Building extension at Scoil Pól 
Scoil Pól are delighted to announce that the Department of Education have sanctioned the building of a new Wood and Construction Studies room. This will be a state of the art facility that will allow students of Scoil Pól to continue to develop their skills both in designing and making of projects at a well established excellent standard. Planning permission for the extension has been granted. Preparatory work continues at pace.

Mike O'Hara Principal Scoil PólAs Principal of Scoil Pol Seconday School I wish to welcome you to our website. I hope that while visiting our website you experience the sense of achievement and togetherness that exists within our school community.

Scoil Pol is located near the foothills of the Ballyhoura Mountains, approximately twenty five minutes from Charleville and Mitchelstown and less than ten minutes from Kilmallock.

We are a co-educational school with a proud heritage of academic excellence, an ethos of inclusion and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. This is anchored by our Pastoral Care System that fosters the development of all aspects of students' lives as we join them on their educational journey.

As Deputy Principal of Scoil Pól, it is a privilege to highlight some of the features which make our school an excellent centre of teaching and learning, characterised by a sense of community and shared vision, and a positive and engaging school experience for the emerging adults in our care. As you can see from our website our school offers a wide range of subjects and programmes. 

Our teachers demonstrate daily their commitment to the achievement of academic excellence, optimising the potential of every student, including those with special educational needs. Teamwork, leadership skills, flexibility and a healthy balanced life style are promoted through participation in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Partnership, responsibility, ownership and decision-making skills are promoted through active involvement in Student Council, Prefect System, Green Schools’ Initiative etc.

Happy Feet Run/Walk or Cycle happyfeetfbprofile

On Saturday, the 28th of April, Scoil Pól TYs are hosting ‘Happy Feet’ - a fun run/walk or cycle in Kilfinane in aid of the Limerick Suicide Watch and The Irish Pilgrimage Trust. 
The 5K run/walk starts at 12pm from Scoil Pól in Kilfinane.

Munster Glory for Scoil Pól, Kilfinane, Camogie Team

Saturday February 3rd was a day that will live in the memory of the Scoil Pól camogie team for a long time to come. The stage was set for the Munster U16 1/2 final between Coláiste Íde agus Íosaef of Abbeyfeale and Scoil Pól Kilfinane. Mannix college pitch provided the venue and compliments must be forthcoming for the excellent condition the pitch was in despite the inclement weather leading up to Saturdays final.

MUSICAL - Back to the 80s 

Back to the 80s cast

Many of the Broadway or Hollywood stars will say that they started out on their local stage, basking in the limelight for the first time at their own school musical and judging by the talent in Scoil Pol, Kilfinane, there are certainly some stars in the making. “Back to the 80s” is Scoil Pol’s second production, and is a must see for any theatre fans, as many of these young singers and actors are bright young stars waiting for their chance to shine on the world stage. Staged in the Scoil Pol’s School Hall, the show will run for 3 nights Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March 2018, with curtain up at 8pm.

Awards Night 2017

Scoil Pól were delighted to honor our students on the 22nd of September 2017 in recognition for all their hard work throughout last year. We congratulate and honor each individual who received an award. We would also like to recognise the amazing results obtained by this year's Leaving Cert class, with 8 students receiving over 500 points.
