Scoil Pól Bus and Study Information

Please note that from tomorrow, Tuesday 10th September the following changes to buses servicing Effin from Scoil Pól. 

Students NOT doing after school study will be on the Noreen Hayes bus and will leave at the normal school closing times. Students who ARE doing after school study will be on Patsy Hayes bus leaving after one hour of study.

Both evening routes will be as follows:
Kilfinane, Kilmallock, Charleville,(Effin Cross), Davy's Bar, and around Effin (to be discussed with Noreen and Patsy. The morning routes stay exactly as they currently are. - Mike O'Hara

Scoil Pól Buses – routes and 1st pick up times: (Please note this does NOT apply to Bus Eireann bus routes and schedules. Bus Eireann busses will operate from Tuesday 27th August on a full schedule) Read more....

We extend a very warm welcome to all our students who started in Scoil Pól this week. This is the biggest group we have ever had starting in Scoil Pól's history and we are thrilled to have you all. We wish you the very best as you begin your second level journey with us all here in Scoil Pól and we look forward to helping you blossom into the amazing individuals you all are.

PhilosophyIrish Young Philosopher Awards

Last September a small group of students, together with Ms Dillon, set up the school’s first philosophy club. The aims of the club were to explore a range of philosophical questions proposed by the students, and to work on individual and group projects to enter in the Irish Young Philosopher Awards, taking place in UCD on May 15th.

Secondary schools Irish Open draughts champions. DraughtsBoard

Cillian O'Brien, Owen O Sullivan, Eoin McGrath and Sean Meade played great stuff and were deserving winners after playing 6 matches each and coming out as champions on March 15th in the South Court Hotel.

Monday: Full school blessing in St Andrew’s church at 9.20am

Tuesday: Information meeting re Junior Cert assessments for 2nd and 3rd yr parents at 7.30pm

Wednesday: Vaccination injections for all 1st yrs in Hall from 9am
U16 Munster Hurling in Rathcormac at 12.30 v’s Carrigaline.
Leaving at 11.05 RSA inspection visit in school  at 10am - MOH office

Thursday: 

Friday: Green school to west Clare for beach clean-up – Noreen.
