Extra Curriculum – Free Trial “Live Online Computing, ICT, Coding & Cyber-Safety Classes” for your students. A message from Kids Coder Club
The Department has prepared guidance for parents on issues relating to a return to school. The nature of the guidance and the appropriate links are listed below, and we would ask that schools would make parents aware of this information.
Transition year students are in the final of the very prestigious BD Stems competition. Our project was based on the common mental health issue known as Seasonal Affective Disorder - SAD. The transition years did an entire research project on how SAD lamps work and improve peoples' mood. They found that over a four week period of using SAD lamps the sleep of the participants and mood of the participants increased immensely.
Cybercamp is an initiative from the University of Limerick aiming to give secondary school students an overview of different ICT skills. This summer, from June 21st to July 16th, they are running three camps, each of which will offer three different streams. These are Web Development, Java, and Processing.
We are delighted to inform to you that we have collaborated with Kilkenny Education Centre to bring Supporting Adolescents through Exam Stress.
We had a fantastic morning on Monday 16th November here in Scoil Pól where Oisín was greeted with a whole school guard of honour and presentation from Mr. O'Hara and Mrs. Ryan in recognition of his remarkable achievements! Fáilte abhaile Oisín!
