All 1st year students in Scoil Pól took part in a school round of the I.M.TA. First Year Maths Competition with their scores submitted in the hope of making the regional finals in Castletroy College. 6 of our students, Oisin Lynch, Darragh Considine, Micháel Fox, Christopher Costigan, Emma Ryan and Leah O'Toole qualified for the finals which was a fantastic achievement as it meant they were in the top 32 students in the Clare/Limerick region. A huge congratulations to all 6 and best of luck in their future mathematical endeavours.
Scoil Pol Students hit the high spots at SciFest
Forty one students, along with their teachers, from Scoil Pól in Kilfinane recently attended the Scifest@College competition in LIT at Moylish. This full day event saw students from all over the county exhibit their unique research and development projects. The BiopharmaChem Ireland Chemistry award was captured by Bróna McGlinchey, Sophia Leahy and Leah O'Toole for their project 'True Colours', which looked at the acidity of berries. They received a trophy, individual vouchers and laboratory equipment for the school.

Congratulations to 3 of our TY students who took home not only 1 but 2 prizes from the National Scratch Competition last Wednesday 25th of April in UL. Niamh and Dani won the Best Animation prize out of 502 entrants, for their short animation called 'Behind the Bully'. Dewi took home the best in her category prize for her mini game called 'Clean up the Streets'. Well done to our students and all 31 finalists on the day.
On Wednesday March 7th , the Kemmy Business school and the Business Studies Teachers Association held a Junior Certificate Business Awards ceremony in The University of Limerick to acknowledge the superb achievement of students who received an A grade in Higher Level Business Studies. Scoil Pol was represented by 3 students Sarah Herbert, Donal Healy and Lorcan Ahearn who received Certificates of Achievement for their results. Congratulations to them.
2 week Irish Summer Camp, “Cursa de Paor” in Scoil Pól, Kilfinane
Scóil Pól is delighted and excited to announce the return of our 2 week Irish Camp in July. This camp is organised in association with Lisa and Gearóid Power, daughter and son of the late Ger Power from Knocklong who established similar Irish camps in the Limerick area in the past and Noreen O Riordan from Effin, who teaches in Scoil Pól. This year's camp runs from July 2nd- July 13th.
