Transition year students organized a local shoebox appeal last week! Gifts for girls, boys, animal welfare and food items were collected! A huge thank you to everyone who donated, the generosity shown from everyone in our community was amazing. Thank you to Ms. Kelly, Ms. O’Connor, Sr. P for organising and to all the TYs that volunteered to be part of this incredible initiative
Scoil Pól St.Vincent De Paul Hamper Donations
We are all about giving back here in Scoil Pól and what better month to show our gratitude and to "pay it forward" than December!
The Religion Department with the help of students, prepared Christmas hampers for St.Vincent De Paul this month. On behalf of the staff of Scoil Pól, Mrs.Ryan our Deputy Principal presented a hamper to Sr.Patricia.
On behalf of the students our Head Boy and Head Girl Chris Costigan and Aisling Daly along with prefects Leah O Brien and Uinsinn McCarthy also presented hampers for St.Vincent De Paul.
The hampers will be distributed to those in need this Christmas.
A HUGE congratulations to our transition year students David O’Brien, Evan Lowe, Stella Hehir, Emma Hanley, Sophie Collins, Amy Mulcahy, Cliona Heffernan, Caoimhe O’Connor, Eoin O’Leary, Shane Tobin & Paul Sheahan! Well done to you all & your teachers! A huge success to have 4 projects through in the intermediate category. Already continuing on from last years successful projects!

Please see attached an important letter from HSE colleagues, which you are asked to bring to the attention of parents, guardians and staff.
There has been a significant increase in viral infections and Group A Strep infections among children and young people this winter. There have also been recent concerns about a rare
bacterial infection. This infection is iGAS (an invasive Group A Streptococcal infection). It is and also known as Group A Strep.
Given the potential seriousness of the situation we are asking you to circulate this letter to parents. The letter contains important information on viral and Group A Strep infections with useful links for additional information.

Transition year pupils are organising a Christmas appeal for the local community. We are looking for items suitable for girls, boys, animal welfare and non perishable foods. Donations can be left at the front entrance of Scoil Pól in the labelled boxes. Last day for donations is December 12th. Thank you for your support!
